The design concept for this panda was fairly simplistic -- create an interesting visual texture for the bear by decorating it with a variety of colored snowflakes. According to the artist, "I couldn't resist applying the snowflakes over the entire body of the Panda in a wide variety of colors. I kept getting mail that had various designs of snowflakes on envelopes and letters which gave me the impetus to use them in my design."
