Several of the pandas in the PandaMania exhibition were designed to draw attention to various threatened species in the world, but this bear showcases endangered creatures of a different sort -- those awaiting adoption in animal shelters. All of the cats and kittens depicted on the panda figure are stylized portraits of felines that were former residents of animal shelters.
