This regal panda's name, P'ing, is the Mandarin character for peace, and it holds three gifts to the world from China -- the compass, paper (in the form of scrolls), and gunpowder (in the form of fireworks). The imperial gown shows the Temple of Prayer for a Good Harvest, one of the most admired works of architecture in east Asia.
