Scores of butterflies cover this panda, which has been equipped with a long-handled net to try to capture some of them. According to the artist, "The intent behind my design was to create a panda that is whimsical and entertaining. ... With increased security concerns and an air of seriousness in and around the nation’s capital, it helps to display art that can make people smile." He was successful.
