Nicki and 'Pandillusion' Pandillusion (and Nicki)

The artist intended this panda as an exercise in anamporphic perspective. Incorporated into the design is a 'panda within a panda'. As can be seen, the black lines are actually of different widths, but when seen from about 10 feet directly in front of the bear there is an illusion that all lines appear the same width. The 'anamporphic perspective' challenges the viewer to concentrate on the 'bear-within-the-bear' at that 10-foot distance, as all the parallel lines make it difficult to do so.
