There's a bit more to this bucolic panda than at first meets the eye -- it is a landscape-in-the-round, a continuous 360° painting. The artist stated that she made use of the bear's shape: "[I interpreted] the rounded contours of the sculpture as hills of rolling orchard and valleys of lush vineyards. ... Bearing Fruit Panda stands in a field of wild iris inviting you to walk around the sculpture and perhaps into the field of your own memories."
